After Alison made me a delicious breakfast I came into the office early. I wanted to catch up on some emails before I went to speak at a Habitat for Humanity dedication ceremony. The ceremony for the new home of the Griffin family in Toano, VA started at 10:30. The house was a "Women Build" project. David and Lyza both joined. It was a great event, and I'm proud to have represented the MJP partnership with habitat!

Now I'm back in the office, I've caught up on most of my emails, and have a few minutes to spare. I am updating my blog and chatting with sixteen year old Anna, my youngest sister who is six hours ahead of me in Brittany, France for three months. She is blogging about her experience as an Au Pair. It's great to follow her updates, and just today she figured out how to upload pictures! I finally get to have a visual of what she's doing. I'm so excited to read about her future ventures.

I've been emailing with the dean of the english department at Regent University. Today I solidified a meeting with her on Thursday, my day off of work! I am hoping to discuss how/if any of their programs would compliment the career that I am trying to develop. I am anxious to see if this is a viable option for the continuation of my education.

Jacob leaves tomorrow with his band for a tour in Indonesia. I was hoping to see him before they left. Unfortunately, between insane schedules it has not been possible. However, I look forward to hearing about his experience upon his return!

The date for my next fight has been moved. I will be fighting at Cagefest Extreme on October 3rd, 2009. Stacy Grant, my opponent is one of the Muay Thai instructors at Hybrid Academy of Martial Arts. They are known for their conditioning. I have heard from people that used to train with them, but now train with us that she has great leg kicks and that she's aggressive. She also supposedly always leans down in a clench, making her susceptible to knees. I am training hard for this fight. Thursday, after my meeting at Regent I am stopping by the local Hot Yoga studio to see if they would be interested in sponsoring me. This is yoga done in a room that is one hundred degrees, with fifty percent humidity. I tried a one week trail a little while back and it was incredible! I walked away from each session drenching in sweat, I was drained yet refreshed every time! I would love to incorporate this into my training!

MJP always has exciting things going on.. I think I learn something new everyday, which of course brings new questions! I ordered my new business cards today, I'm trying to practice what I preach and included my twitter, I'm excited! I may be going to Author101 this Halloween in Las Vegas, which would be incredible! I love talking with authors and hearing what they are doing. On another note, I'm thinking through ideas on how to enhance the MJ Entrepreneurial Author Community (EAC for future reference :) Monthly newsletters, solely to our authors. Annual author appreciation event. Live training seminars, taught by some of our unique connections. Figuring out the best way to connect our authors to each other --we publish works of very intelligent and innovative minds, the few occasions that we have them together have resulted in some serious brain storming and collaboration! Now, the problem seems to be getting all these things rolling.. Oh, my favorite new book that we're considering, "Killer Clothes" talks about why we NEED to be wearing organic clothes. I never realized how our clothing increases the likeliness of cancer and infertility.. Can't wait to see the book!

Well, I am off the finish up emails before I leave. Training Muay Thai tonight.. I'm ready to get all my excess energy out!
